The popular hacker group, Anonymous, has hacked the official Twitter account of Nigeria’s broadcasting regulator, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) in support of the #EndSARs protest in Nigeria.
The group, which had earlier claimed it hacked some Nigerian websites posted on the NBC Twitter handle: We #Anonymous have taken over all the NG Official Twitter's Account to support #ENDPOLICEBRUTALITY. WE'RE TOGETHER WITH NIGERIANS. EXPECT UNEXPECTED. It further tweeted using the @nbcgovng handle: “We #Anonymous are out to expose the government’s secrets & dirty files. Put an #ENDTOPOLICEBRUTALITY.
The group has further requested Nigerians to suggest any government websites they wish to be hacked. “Good morning, great Nigerians. TGIF and it's also a good day to #ENDSARS and #EndSWAT which government website(s) would you want us to play with? Drop your suggestions under this tweet,” the group tweeted.
